Best Snow Removal Products For Your Facility

There isn’t a product out there that is not available as a bulk ice melt in the market and caters to the commercial establishment requirements. With the number of products, you can easily get overwhelmed, but we hope to make your choice easier with honest reviews.

Let us take a quick look at the bulk ice melt in the market and their reviews-

1. Green Gobbler Ice melt: It is 96% pure calcium chloride and 4% calcium silicate snow and ice melt pellets that have been in the market for several years now. While they advertise as safe on concrete and vegetation, it is not entirely true. It is not 100% secure on concrete. Any amount of overuse and will damage crack the concrete surface. They also tend to leave an oily residue after melting thick ice. Since they are slightly more expensive than other products, it is best to procure them from wholesale ice melt distributors.

2.  Pellets of Fire: Another calcium chloride bulk ice melt product, Pellets of Fire, works up to -25°F. It is alright on most surfaces and has decent enough coverage. It is long-lasting and ideal for most surfaces. However, it is not safe for pets and can easily corrode steel. In addition, it is not environment-friendly and may damage your vegetation.

3. Safe Thaw:

A 100% environment-friendly bulk ice melt product, Safe Thaw comprises carbonyl carbamide that does not corrode metal, does not damage vegetation, and is safe on concrete. It is best to use on cured concrete that is over a year old. It does not alter the concrete density with the freeze/thaw cycle either. It does not spoil over time and remains intact if kept in an air-tight jar. However, its quick melting and advanced traction formula help create a firm grip on icy surfaces. And the best part, it is safe for pets and kids!

4. Roadrunner Ice melt: Another bulk ice melt product, Roadrunner is a combination of three primary ingredients- sodium chloride, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride. It comes in a pellet form and is effective only up to -15°F. It is affordable; however, it is not concrete-friendly.

5. Snow Joe ice melt: Another popular calcium chloride-based bulk ice melt product is Snow Joe. It helps melt snow quickly; however, it takes longer to melt thick ice in freezing temperatures. It may work up to -25°F; however, it lasts only up to 24 hours. Keep it clear from pets and kids at all costs.

Conclusion

While there are several products, you connect with wholesale ice melt distributors to get the best price. All of them vary in their price range. If you are buying bulk ice melt, we strongly advise you to factor in the size of your commercial establishment, whether it is an office or a restaurant, or a store, and check the number of containers and bags you will require. All ice melt products tend to sell out fast, especially during harsh winters.

Have a safe winter.
