Description
No other ice/snow melt works like Safe Thaw. It’s a patented dual-effect compound, made up of a crystal core integrated with a liquid component. This composition gives it a two-way timed-release action. The liquid component (glycol admixture) starts melting ice instantly while breaking its surface tension. This allows the crystal core (crystalline amide) to quickly penetrate and destabilize the ice and speed up the melting process.
But what does all technical info mean to you? Well, it means that you can get to walk, drive or work as soon as possible. This advantage is made two-fold since, unlike other ice melts, Safe Thaw actually attracts heat to make it even more effective. This ‘endothermic’ reaction takes advantage of a solar effect to harness the sun’s energy and provide extra melting power during daylight hours.
And once Safe Thaw has melted away ice and snow, it leaves an invisible protective ‘shield’ that prevents ice from sticking to the surface for up to three days. This ‘teflon’ effect makes shoveling easier and saves you work. That’s the inherent beauty of Safe Thaw –it works harder, so you can work less!
Safe Thaw contains no salt and is non-corrosive and non-conductive. Makes ice and snow disappear, even in severe climates, without leaving behind a trail of destruction. And it’s safe for everybody too: people and pets are safe since it’s non-toxic, and it’s also environmentally safe (contains no pollutants to trees, grass, shrubbery). It’s also safe on all surfaces, like stone, metal ramps, decking, brick, pavers and even concrete (on at least 1-year-old, properly formulated air entrained sealed concrete).
